Comenius - Radom in Poland

In March 2014 our school had as a guests students and teachers from Holland and Great Britain within the confines of Comenius project – "Back to the Future".

During first day our guests took part in the 1st Spring Day "Spring in Europe" which had place at our school. The programme included the competition for: the most beautiful "Marzanna", symbols of different countries, famous person, songs from four countries: Poland, France, The Great Britain and The Netherlands, the national dances show and mini playback show.

Our guests and our students also had a possibility to participate in "Festival of soup" at Catering school. We familiarized them with the Catering school history. They had chance to taste the confectionery and they learnt how to serve in a hotel. In the afternoon students and teachers went on a tour to the Radom Village Museum. They were drowning "Marzanna" by themselves. Everyone had a pottery, bread baking and Easter eggs making lessons. We made vessels, Easter eggs and rolls by ourselves.

Next day our guests had a chance to get to know better their hosts. They spent all day organised by our students. In the evening students from Comenius project showed their artistic abilities. They presented the modern and the older songs and dances which are popular in their countries.

Last day everyone went to Warsaw. We visited the old town, Copernicus Science Centre, Uprising Museum and the National Stadium.
